This CBD-rich cannabis strain has a spicy cedar aroma with hints of citrus, pine and mint. Some phenotypes really lean towards a typical Haze aroma mixed with citrus notes of 'Tangie' or 'Lemon Skunk'. It can sometimes come across as very fresh and fruity. The taste is also usually spicy, hazy and fresh. For some plants the taste is a little more piney and woody, but with a fruity note.

The buds tend to be very sticky and resinous, which you might not expect from a CBD-rich cannabis strain. What exactly are the genetics in CBD Skunk Haze?

CBD Skunk Haze is the result of the joint project between Dutch Passion and the CBD Crew. The goal was to achieve the optimal ratio of 1:1 CBD:THC. Some medicinal users prefer low-THC strains. The cannabis has a relaxing effect, but the intense effect that a high THC content causes does not occur.

Recreational users find that high levels of CBD provide a very pleasant and gradual physical high without paranoia. To develop this strain, we crossed our Haze/Skunk (winner of the 1992 High Times Cannabis Cup) with a high CBD strain.

CBD Skunk Haze is a strong grower with large, long buds. Her sativa-dominant character makes her suitable for both SCROG and SOG cultivation methods.

CBD Skunk Haze is a stabilized hybrid and produces large and tall plants. This indica/sativa hybrid produces plants with firm, compact buds and a good yield. It is a variety that produces beautiful dark green leaves with thick veins on the back of the leaves. The fingers and especially the edges of the leaves resemble those of a saw, but luckily you don't have to worry about cutting your fingers! This variety grows well both indoors under artificial light and in a greenhouse.

For a successful greenhouse crop, it is recommended to grow it in a controlled greenhouse. And if you grow in a temperate or northern climate, darken the greenhouse in a timely manner. It has an average flowering time of 10 weeks, but there are also faster phenotypes. For best results, grow it in a controlled indoor environment with an LED lamp.

It is a consistent and stable CBD strain. The plants grow quite evenly and during the flowering phase it is also noticeable that the flower structure of the different phenotypes has many similarities. The Haze/Skunk parent used for this cross clearly shows that it has transferred certain dominant characteristics. Once flowering has begun, the plants have wonderful aromas. In week 3-4 the bud formation is already well advanced. And the development of the resin layer also begins early in the flowering phase. The buds eventually become really sticky and resinous. The amount of trichomes may be greater than you would expect.

The heyday of CBD Skunk Haze

CBD Skunk Haze has an average flowering time of around 10 weeks. There are also phenotypes that flower slightly faster, around 8.5-9 weeks, especially when grown indoors under ideal conditions. It is more sativa dominant, which results in beautiful large flowers with little foliage and a good flower to leaf ratio.

It can also be grown in a greenhouse, but in temperate climates it will take until late October/early November to finish flowering. It is therefore recommended to start darkening the plants as early as mid-July. It will be ready to harvest at the end of September and beginning of October. Both outdoors and indoors, this CBD strain produces resinous buds that look great and are quite sticky!

The yield of CBD Skunk Haze

CBD Skunk Haze is a medium to high yielding plant. In a good indoor grow she can yield around 400-500g/m2. Don't harvest them too early as this can reduce the yield. She has been gaining quite a bit of weight, especially in the last 2-3 weeks. During this ripening phase, the buds harden well and become firm/compact.

Due to the large buds that this strain develops in a stable growing environment, it has received a grade of XL. CBD Skunk Haze can be grown in a SOG with an average pre-growth period. Of course, this also depends on how much space there is between the plants and how big it is. you want to let them grow.

It also looks good in a SCROG, its slender leaves and strong branches make it well suited for this. You can achieve the highest yields with this variety in a SCROG. But you can also just grow them naturally and let them grow freely. In any case, it will give you a delicious harvest.

CBD Skunk Haze is an easy plant to grow. If you want to get the most yield out of her, we recommend topping her in the growing season. This means the side shoots grow much faster and you get a more even field of buds.

Even if you are growing them in a SCROG, it is recommended to top the plants. She also likes a temperature that is not too high. When exposed to this, she can sometimes start to "fuss" a little more. For the prettiest buds, you should keep the maximum temperature between around 27-29 degrees. And ideally with a stable 20-22 degrees as the night temperature.

In 2012, Dutch Passion worked with the CBD Crew to develop a range of feminized cannabis seeds, all rich in the cannabinoid CBD. A strain with more than 4 percent CBD is called CBD-rich. Typically, cannabis has a THC content of 12 to 21 percent and a CBD content of 0.1 to 0.5 percent. CBD Skunk Haze has on average between 5-10% CBD and about the same amount of THC.
