The Jack Herer was published as a tribute to the cannabis activist and writer of the same name. It is the winner of many High Times Cannabis Cups and is one of the most famous cannabis strains alongside the Haze and Skunk strains that built the scene's foundations in the 80's and 90's. Its very complex and special flavor as well as its amazing high have made it a staple of the cannabis scene in Amsterdam and the USA.
The Jack Herer is a beautiful tall plant with a Christmas tree shape typical of the Haze strains, with strong stems that hold some long colas full of shiny trichomes. The flowers are not the most compact type of flower, but the growth points appear all over the plant, and the entire plant is covered in trichomes up to the stem in some conditions, resulting in a very strong psychoactive high.
The smell of Jack Herer is a very complex bouquet. of wood and pine inherited from the Haze parents, that typical woody scent that smells almost like incense or church, combined with the added sweetness of the stink and an almost metallic background on the exhale - a very complex but beautiful and satisfying strain to smoke, the effects of which are strong on the body and mind and will last for a very long time. The most expressed terpenes are terpinolene, α-pinene and β-caryophyllene.
